
Blackboard: Login, Change Password, Verify E-Mail Address
Note: To enable closed captioning of the videos, use Window Media Player and from the menu click Play, then Captions & Subtitles, and make sure "Captions" is selected. Also, on the menu click View and make sure that "Full Mode" is selected.
When you access the NWOSU Blackboard page, the following picture will appear:
Click the LOGIN button, as in the picture above. Next you will see a page where you will enter your User Name and Password. Your User Name is always the first letter of your first name, followed by your middle initial, followed by your last name, followed by the last two digits of your student ID number (this is not your SSN). Your Password is your student ID number (no dashes). This is NOT your SSN, but rather your NWOSU student ID number. However, after you first log in, you will want to change your Password to protect your security.
Type your User Name and Password into the fields and then click the LOGIN button.
Then you will see the following areas in the main NWOSU Blackboard Welcome page:
On the Welcome Page you will see the TOOLS area. In the Tools area, change your Password and verify your NWOSU e-mail address before you click into your online class.
To change your Password, click the Personal Information link, as in the picture below:
After you click Personal Information, you will see the following:
Click the Change Password link, and you will see the following:
Change your Password to a new Password. TIP: Be sure to write down your new Password and keep it in a safe place where you can find it. Then scroll down and click the SUBMIT button.
You are required to have an NWOSU e-mail address for Bb. After you get your NWOSU e-mail address, make sure that address is correct in Blackboard. Click Personal Information and then click Edit Personal Information:
If your e-mail address is not correct, then click inside the E-Mail field and type your correct NWOSU e-mail address. Then scroll down and click the SUBMIT button.
