Fine Arts Visit Day

Fine Arts Visit Day is a wonderful opportunity for high school students to visit Northwestern to find out about a career in music or theatre, and what it is like to study the arts at the college level, and even audition for scholarship opportunities.  Fine Arts Visit Day is free, and is open to any high school student and their parents who is interested in a degree in music or theatre at the college level.

11:15-11:30:  Registration
11:30-12:00: Welcome and Introduction of the faculty
12:00-1:00: Sit-in on a Rehearsal
          Jazz Ensemble
1:00-2:00: Sit-in on a Rehearsal
          University Chorale
2:00-3:00:  Interest Sessions
          Session 1 (2:00-2:25)

          ·         Preparing for a career in Music Performance
          Session 2 (2:30-2:55)
          ·         What is really like being a theatre major

                  after high school if I’m not going to be a major?
3:00-5:00: Sit in on a Class

5:00-6:00: Diner at Coronado Cafeteria
6:00-7:15: Sit-in on a Rehearsal
