RODEO TEAM COMPETES AT PANHANDLE STATE 

The Northwestern Oklahoma State University rodeo team competed last weekend at Oklahoma Panhandle State University. Clay Cowan, Highmore, S.D., junior, had the best individual showing, placing in two events and finishing third in the all-around standings.

The team will be at Southwestern Oklahoma State University this weekend.

Complete results for Panhandle State are as follows:

Calf Roping

§         Zac Ream, Alva senior—Long round, 10.4 seconds, tie for 9th; short round, 10.2 seconds, 6th; average, 9th.

§         A.J. Ormand, Kildare junior—Long round, 10.1 seconds, tie for 3rd; short round, 10.4 seconds, 7th; average, tie for 7th.

§         Cowan,—Long round, 9.6 seconds, tie for 1st; short round, 9.8 seconds, 4th; average, tie for 3rd.

Steer Wrestling

• Dace Green, Rosston sophomore—Long round, 5.3 seconds, tie for 9th; short round, no time.
• Cowan—Long round, 5.2 seconds, 8th; short round, 5.0 seconds, 3rd; average, 3rd.
• Tyler Garten, Kingman, Kan., senior—Long round, 5.1 seconds, 7th; short round, no time.
• Jace Rambat, Bird City, Kan., junior—Long round, 4.9 seconds, 5th; short round, 4.8 seconds, 2nd; average, 2nd.
• Dallas Watson, Independence, Kan., senior—Long round, 4.7 seconds, 4th; short round, 7.9 seconds, tie for 5th; average, 5th.

Team Roping

• Tyler Johnson, Mound City, Kan., freshman, and Cody Stone of Colby (Kan.) Community College—Long round, 7.0 seconds, tie for 9th; short round, no time.
• Colt Braden, Bartlesville senior, and Kollin VanAhn from Southeastern Oklahoma State University (SEOSU)—Long round, 5.9 seconds, 2nd; short round, 19.5 seconds, 4th; average, 4th.
• Jake Long, South Coffeyville junior, and Ryan Carter from SEOSU—Long round, 5.8 seconds, 1st; short round, no time.

Bareback Riding

• Danny Weil, Edna, Kan., junior—Long round, 71, 6th; short round, 66, 5th; average, 5th.

Goat Tying

• Teddi Winfrey, Plains, Kan., sophomore—Long round, 8.6 seconds, 5th; short round, 9.7 seconds, 7th; average, tie for 6th.
• Kelsy Powders, Woodward junior—Long round, 7.8 seconds, 1st; short round, 9.6 seconds, 6th; average, 5th.
