BALL IN THE HOUSE TO PERFORM AS PART OF NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA CONCERT SERIES

Ball in the House, a five-man a capella group from Boston, will perform in Herod Hall Auditorium at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva on Thursday, Sept. 18, at 7:30 p.m.

Harmonizing like the groups Boyz II Men, the Temptations and Take 6, Ball in the House brilliantly blends those influences.  From classic R&B to pop, hip-hop and gospel, their sounds incorporate a modern, urban, post-millennial twist. Ball in the House

Jon J. Ryan, vocal; Dave Guisti, tenor; Aaron Loveland, tenor; Dan Szymczak, baritone; Ryan Chappelle, bass, make up the artistic group.

This pop/R&B group has astounded national audiences with their musical talents. They wrote and recorded the current Cool Whip campaign for Kraft foods. Showcasing their talents, they have opened for such artists as Gladys Knight, Jessica Simpson, Blondie, The Temptations and Kool & the Gang.

Averaging 250 tour dates a year, Ball in the House reaches millions and is arguably one of the most successful indie bands working today. Their first radio single, “Something I Don’t Know,” charted for six consecutive weeks in the Top 100 on the national AC Charts, peaking at 17.

Tickets can be purchased at Holder Drug, Schuhmacher’s, the Alva Chamber of Commerce and the NWOSU Bookstore or by calling (580) 327-8692.
